Following up on our May roundtable discussion, the Central PA Alliance for Response is meeting again, this time at the Penn State University Libraries Conservation Centre (2185 Sandy Drive, State College) on July 24 at 6 pm. You’re welcome to come, whether or not you were able to attend the May discussion.
The event is free, but we encourage you to register before Wednesday, July 17 to ensure that we have enough seats for everyone. Please see the flyer for more details and let us know if you can make it! Also, please share with any colleagues who might be interested.
Our hope is to continue to hold these meetings around our region so that you have a chance to meet your emergency response and cultural heritage colleagues. We are aware that our region is large (covering a dozen counties), such that it may be difficult for you to travel to every event. Whenever possible, we will post a writeup on here to keep you updated on what is covered.
If you work at a cultural heritage institution and you haven’t already done so, you are encouraged to get in touch with your local emergency management agency’s office to share your off-hours emergency contact information. It’s a good idea to confirm this information annually or any time you have a relevant changeover at your organization.
